If you’ve never made baked brie before, you’re missing out on one of the world’s best – and easiest – appetizers.
1 small wheel brie cheese
1 cup red seedless grapes
2 tablespoons Maccora Vinocotto
1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
1 tablespoon red wine
1 pinch sea salt
3 tablespoons toasted walnuts, coarsely chopped
Bread or crackers, for serving
Unwrap the brie and place it onto an oven-safe baking dish. Bake 12 minutes at 190ºC.
To make the topping add the grapes, vinocotto, wine vinegar, and salt to a small saucepan over medium heat. Bring to the boil, and cook 6 minutes with the lid on the saucepan, stirring occasionally. Uncover the saucepan and cook until the syrup is slightly thickened, about 6 minutes more, stirring occasionally.
Top the baked brie with the grape mixture and then sprinkle on the walnuts. Serve warm with bread or crackers.
